There's no "one size fits all" when it comes to Medicare. When you're shopping for coverage, you want to make sure you have all of your bases covered.

Make a list of what's important to you: prescription drugs, doctors, and your budget, for example. Then compare individual plans to get an even better idea of which plan(s) will be a good fit for you.

    Medicare plan combinations

Did you know that you can have just Original Medicare and purchase a Part D prescription drug plan separately? Or that Medicare Advantage plans can come with or without prescription drug coverage? There are seven different plan type combinations. Understanding how they work and knowing more about them can help you decide how to meet your health care and budget needs.
