specializes in surgery of the heart and blood vessels. Any heart surgery
following a heart attack, including coronary artery bypass surgery, is performed
by a cardiovascular surgeon. A cardiovascular surgeon works directly with your
cardiologist for continuing care and rehabilitation
following heart surgery.
