What is this medicine?NYSTATIN (nye STAT in) is an antifungal medicine. It is used to treat certain kinds of fungal or yeast infections of the skin.

How should I use this medicine?This medicine is for external use on the skin only. Follow the directions on the prescription label. Dust the powder on the affected area (or into socks and shoes). If you are treating diaper rash, do not use tight-fitting diapers or plastic pants. Do not get the medicine in your eyes. If you do, rinse out with plenty of cool tap water. Do not breathe in the powder. Do not use your medicine more often than directed. Use your doses at regular intervals. Finish the full course prescribed by your doctor or health care professional even if you think your condition is better. Do not stop using except on the advice of your doctor or health care professional.
Talk to your pediatrician regarding the use of this medicine in children. Special care may be needed.
