Tests could include:

  • The antibody titer is a test that detects the presence and measures the amount of antibodies within a person's blood. The amount and diversity of antibodies correlates to the strength of the body's immune response.
  • A T cell count is a blood test that measures the number of T cells. A T cell is a type of white blood cell that fights diseases.
  • The B and T cell screen is a blood test. It may be used if your doctor suspects that you have a disease that weakens your immune system.
  • A complete blood count, or CBC, measures several components of your blood and can help diagnose a broad range of conditions, from anemia and to cancer.
