Gastritis complications

Complications could include:

  • Anemia happens when the number of healthy red blood cells in your body is too low. Red blood cells carry oxygen to all of the body's tissues.
  • Erythroblastosis fetalis is a condition that causes the mother's red blood cells attack those of the baby as they would any foreign invaders.
  • Ulcers are open sores. When they occur in the stomach, they are gastric ulcers. Duodenal ulcers occur in the upper area of the small intestine. They often cause a feeling of fullness or hunger, bloating, and burping.
  • Peptic ulcers are painful sores in the lining of the stomach, esophagus, or small intestine. Peptic ulcers are a fairly common health problem.
