Disseminated Intravascular Coagulation (DIC) tests
Disseminated Intravascular Coagulation (DIC)

Tests could include:

  • A partial thromboplastin time test helps doctors assess your blood's ability to clot. Low levels of clotting factors lead to excessive blood loss.
  • A factor VIII assay test determines if your body produces enough factor VIII. Your body needs it in order to form blood clots.
  • A complete blood count, or CBC, measures several components of your blood and can help diagnose a broad range of conditions, from anemia and to cancer.
