Preventive services
The following preventive services are covered by your Medicare Advantage plan for a $0 copay when you visit your in-network primary care provider:

For information about these preventive services, please call the Customer Service number on the back of your member ID card. Any additional preventive services approved by Medicare during the contract year will be covered.
Disease management programs
The Disease Management Programs are designed to help members who have chronic conditions, such as diabetes or certain types of heart disease. In collaboration with physicians, members get the resources and support they need to manage their condition with confidence.
Health management programs
Medicare Advantage plan members can receive health and wellness guidelines on how to help stay healthy and avoid disease. These mail-based programs focus on self-care and lifestyle changes.
Alternative care services
Many Americans seek out alternative therapies in preventing and treating disease, healing illness and promoting health. Some UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage plans include covered acupuncture and/or chiropractic care (availability varies by plan and service area).
NurseLineSM
Plan members can call this toll-free service 24 hours per day to talk with a registered nurse who can help answer their medical questions, help them take care of a minor problem at home or guide them to outside help if necessary. In addition to registered nurses, NurseLine also has a health information library with recorded messages on more than 1,700 health topics. (NurseLine is available for most, but not all, Medicare Advantage plans.*
