What is this medicine?TRIAZOLAM (trye AY zoe lam) is a benzodiazepine. It is used to treat insomnia. This medicine helps you to sleep. It is only for short-term use, and should generally be used for no more than 2 to 3 weeks.

Do not stand or sit up quickly, especially if you are an older patient. This reduces the risk of dizzy or fainting spells. Alcohol may interfere with the effect of this medicine. Avoid alcoholic drinks.
