What is this medicine?CARBAMAZEPINE (kar ba MAZ e peen) is used to control seizures caused by certain types of epilepsy. This medicine is also used to treat nerve related pain. It is not for common aches and pains.

How should I use this medicine?Take this medicine by mouth. Follow the directions on the prescription label. Shake well before using. Use a specially marked spoon or dropper to measure your medicine. If you are administering this medicine down a feeding tube your health care professional will teach you the best way to take this medicine. Do not administer with other liquid medications or foods down the tube.Take your doses at regular intervals. Do not take your medicine more often than directed.
