Cushing Syndrome

  • KETOCONAZOLE (kee toe KON na zole) is an antifungal medicine. It is used to treat certain kinds of fungal or yeast infections.
  • MITOTANE (MYE toe tane) limits the activity of the adrenal gland. It is used to treat adrenal cancer that cannot be treated by surgery.
  • METYRAPONE is a diagnostic aid. It is used to test if the adrenal glands are working properly.
  • MIFEPRISTONE (mi FE pri stone) is a hormone-like drug. It is used in combination with other medicines to end an early pregnancy (usually during the first 7 weeks). This medicine is only available in a doctor's office, health clinic, or hospital.
